Fort Meigs receives funding to preserve historic site

Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 6:07 p.m. COLUMBUS- The Fort Meigs State Memorial in Perrysburg will receive $200,000 in state capital funds from the state Controlling Board to preserve the setting of the historic site.

Defendant can't plead insanity, court rules

Michael Swiergosz, who is accused of twice keeping police at bay in separate standoffs within weeks of each other, was found not eligible for a not guilty by reason of insanity plea yesterday and instead pleaded not guilty to multiple assault, kidnapping, and burglary charges.
