Sheriff David Gould says that deputies were called to the shore of Lake Ontario near the Cayuga and Oswego county border just before 4:30 p.m. Deputies say 42-year-old Adam McKelvey, of Oswego, was swimming with his children and other family and friends near where Eight Mile Creek empties into the lake.
