Severe weather is being blamed for a significant fire in a mobile home south of Orland, and for bringing down a large tree that fell onto the roof of a Cal Fire-Butte County fire station in Cohasset, causing heavy damage.

Two women hurt in Highway 32 head-on crash

An Orland woman driving west on Highway 32 Thursday night was severely injured when a motorist driving east attempted to pass traffic and hit her minivan head-on near County Road S. The driver who allegedly caused the crash was also hurt.
