Riders scream at the top of their lungs as they drop toward earth in a free fall on the Super Shot ride at the Glenn County Fair in Orland on Friday.

Belt Buckle Bill - aka Bill Noble - has encountered a number of hazards on the road as a fair and show vendor, but he expects his cozy corner inside the Commercial Building at the Glenn County Fair will be safe.

The Glenn County Fair in Orland kicks off Thursday and runs through Sunday. Buildings are open 11 a.m. each day, and open until 11 p.m., or midnight Friday and Saturday.
