Ord High School students will be getting a new high school courtesy of the voters. A $9.8 million bond issued passed by 160 votes or 54.05%.

Central Community College plans to begin construction on its Ord facility on October 26th. According to Caleb Pollard, Executive Director of Valley County Economic Development, the College plans to be open for the start of the spring 2010 college semester in January.

Valley County is evaluating whether to continue to use Region 26 for its 911 communications. The county received a copy of a contract from Region 26.
