Picture this: Deltona paid $1,274 for official photos
“If it came to the point where they wanted professional photos, if someone wanted $1,300, I'd be looking for a different option”

At least this time they aren't wasting money and the 6 figures. Is somebody keep a rolling tally of the waste of their idiots.
The mayor has a new hair color so he wanted to show it off. He's like my wife and sisters they get a new hair cut and color it and run around showing everybody. Showing us he has a feminine side too. What a joke. Pretty mayor just what the largest city in the county need. Who wants a mayor who watches money. This crap would only fly in Deltona from what other cities say. It's good to know they are looking out for our money. |

You'll just get a fresh batch of morons. It's the same everywhere. |

Excuse me. Leaders in our government are much more important than regular working people. You little taxpayers haven't learned that yet?

Great job done by the Orlando Sentinel. I hope they continue to do investigative reporting. I think that printing the article day was a wise move, more people have the time to read the paper.
I'm looking forward to the Sentinel uncovering spending and other things the people have a right to know and exposing it. Great job! Yes the mayor is rather pretty isn't he. |

Yup, that Dulltona. Who else got their picture taken? I'd like to know!

Since the Mayor forgot to file for Homestead Exemption, he was just taking it out in traade.
And I thought Mascotte was the Bozoville of Central Florida. Time to re-examine my life values. |

Give up on getting any attention paid to you by this group. They are about themselves. Hopefully the OS will keep us up on what they are spending and have spent.
It is disgusting to watch our city go down the tubes. All looks no leadership. |

As a professional photographer in Central Florida, these prices are in line. Keep in mind, insurance, equipment, years of experience. Photographers have every right to earn a fair wage. The images are all part of advertising expenses.
This should be a non story and the staff at the Sentinel should see the value in good photography and not even bother reporting it! It must have been a slow news day :) If we ever want Central Florida to be anything but a small cow town, we should be more concerned with back room discussions, failed light rail, failing schools & crime then a few portraits! |
|
Sorry orlando but we want to know what they spend they have gone threw close to a million bucks with their politics and this could and should have been done for less. Why equate saving money with small town thinking. Not saving money is the mark of a real city? Then keep a real city. We are concerned with back room dealings, city attorney run amuck, vilolations of laws and other things you mentioned. You must not know what up in Deltona. |

samll cow town would that be one that most of the city has septic tanks and no sewers. Cow town is that one that has few sidewalks. Cow town is that a town that has sparse street lighing and most of the roads don't even have lines or marking on them not that you could see them in the darkunlit roads. If these are what a cow town doesn't have then Deltona is a cow town. Pretty pictures aren't going to change that.
Instaed of smiling for the camera you need to tell them to do what's necessary to make us something besides a cow town. I would expect a photog to agree that this was money well spent. The sentinel needs to listen to the residents here and I say way to go, thanks and give us more! |

1 As far as the pictures go; an extreme waste of taxpayer money. What those pictures boil down to is filler for someone's personal scrapbook. |
|
All of those things you mention cost money. If Deltona officials looked to do any of them, you can be sure there would be those that would scream that their tax dollars were being wasted. |
