This is so sad. She was probably a little bit too old to be driving in the first place.

Yes it is sad, but the other part of your satement was uncalled for. I can tell from your statement that you did not know the lady that was in the accident. She was one in a million and will be missed by many. Her age was definitely not a way to judge her. I never dreamed she was that old. She was very alert and very active. So please do not make such generalized statements about one's age.
To the family and friends, I say, my prayers are with you all.

I agree. Age is something coming to us all. My prayers are with the family. Who was the lady?

I agree as well! I have known people in their 80's be more alert than someone in their 60's. It doesn't matter the age. My prayers go out to the family and friends.

I meant no disrespect. But , I know that as we get older our reflex and judgement can be compromised and it might be best that we don't get under the wheel. I went through this with my elderly father. Although he had a sunny disposition and loved to drive himself everywhere. His stubbornness, eventually contributed to his death. He would drive all over and seem to think he was the only one on the road, and had several accidents in a 2 year time frame. And in the last accident he received a blow to the head, which caused a blood clot, and he died 7 months later.

I didn't know until after his death that his license had been suspended after the first accident, and he didn't tell anybody, because we all worried about him and tried our best to get him not to drive. But, he wanted to keep his independence. Which I could understand to a point, but he obviously made the wrong choice. It cost him his life.

No, I didn't know this dear woman. I just thought of the situation with my dad when I read this, and he was younger than her. I apologize if I offended anyone, I meant no harm.

My condolences to her family.

Edith Marcum was the lady that killed in the accident. She was a sweetheart of a lady and was still very active. I would have never dreamed that she was 85. The family greatly appreciates all prayers.

That light definitely needs some adjustments...Too many accidents and too many fatalities there...I hope TDOT does something soon.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Cancer

Be careful today Cancer, because your emotions could cloud certain issues as they often to and leave you feeling confused. You should be especially wary of believing what you want to believe, rather than believing the evidence in front of your eyes. It's easy to kid yourself now about someone's motives or reliability, even if deep down you know that you're telling yourself a load of old twaddle.
