Amnesia steals part of her memory
When she saw the panic and confusion in Wanda's eyes, Lena knew that something was terribly wrong. But amnesia was the last thing she suspected.
Lena Vollink, from Hull and Wanda DeRoon, from Boyden, were traveling to Omaha on July 15, to pick up Vollink's sister from the airport. Friends from years ago when they were neighbors in Hull, the two were chatting and making plans to shop before going to the airport.
But south of the Onawa exit, DeRoon suddenly put her head in her hands, turned to Vollink, who was driving, and asked, "Where did I park my car this morning?"
