Kauai Man, 62, Shot To Death After 3-Hour Standoff
Kauai police said Richard 'Dickie' Louis, 62, was fatally shot by police Wednesday night after a three-hour standoff at his home in Omao.

Suspect held in attempted robbery Police arrested a 73-year-old man who allegedly tried to rob the Keeaumoku Street Walmart Tuesday morning.
The gang name scrawled across the traffic sign was probably meant as a fearsome claiming of territory, except it was a 25 mph sign in a country lane on Kauai where goats nibble on dandelions in front yards and BVDs flap from garage clotheslines.
