Chris Hightower of Auburn won the Republican primary for state representative on Tuesday by a slim margin over Jimmy Kent Wilson of Olmstead.

Ms. Phyllis Pearson Wright of Olmstead would like to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of her daughter Kateland Marie Wright to Carl Douglas Brindley son of April M. Wilkey Brindley and the late Carl Wayne Brindley of Paducah.
