Family wellness fair in Olivet Middle School gym April 30
<![CDATA[Olivet Community Schools is sponsoring a family wellness fair on Tuesday, April 30, 6 to 8 p.m. in the Olivet Middle School gym at 255 First St. in Olivet. The theme centers on "Healthy Families in a Healthy Community" and features 30 plus local exhibitors with medical, dental and mental health information, wholesome foods, ideas on family activities and exercise, environmental issues, home safety and family gardening. Many exhibitors will have handouts and giveaways. Complimentary dinner is served in the cafe from 5:45 to 7 p.m. with Chef Ramon demonstrating easy meals and snacks using tortilla shells. Childcare activities include Zumba and Hops Sports in the high school gym. Exercise and wellness prizes and bicycles will be raffled off throughout the night to participants. The Wellness Fair is the continuing Ninth Annual Healthy Kids Summit sponsored by the Olivet District Wellness Committee, Olivet PTO, United Dairy Industry of Michigan and Gordon Food Service. 'Bikers for Books' take their message to Charlotte students
It was an unlikely place for a literary discussion to take place, but nonetheless, area motorcycle riders say "Bikers for Books" got its start over a year ago when a few of them met up to talk about their favorite books at a riding convention.
