Man, two women caught with meth, drug sale equipment in Oroville
A routine traffic stop early Thursday morning in Oroville led to the arrest of three residents of Sutter and Yuba counties who were found in possession of methamphetamine and items used for its sale, police said Friday.
Jose Jesus Lemus-Chavez, 22, of Williams, was arrested at 11:17 p.m. April 28 by Colusa County sheriff's deputies on River Road, south of Laux Road, on suspicion of possession of marijuana or hashish for sale.
Sacto 911: Bicyclist wearing earphones hit by truck in Yuba County
An unhelmeted bicyclist wearing earphones in Yuba County suffered major injuries when she turned into the path of an oncoming pickup despite the cries of her sister to watch out, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Scott Anthony Keck, 39, of Sacappoose, Ore., was arrested at 5:09 a.m. March 30 by Colusa County sheriff's deputies at Ninth and Market streets, Colusa, on suspicion of obstructing or resisting an executive officer.
