An ex-railroad worker from Maryland who ran a West Virginia scrap yard while collecting disability checks has pleaded guilty to tax evasion.

Maryland State Police say additional charges may be filed in the shooting death of a man in the western part of the state.

One man is dead after a shooting on Wednesday night in Allegany County. Maryland State Police say Alexander Malaska shot and killed Dennis Liller just before 7 p.m. in the twenty three hundred block of Pack Horse Trail Road in Oldtown.
