Today in history: Flash floods ravage Venango County
"OIL CITY - The National Guard has been called in to assist in cleaning up parts of Venango County where flash floods Tuesday caused more than $62 million damage and presumably claimed the life of a 20-year-old Oil City man," the Erie Morning News reported on June 11, 1981.
