Greetings from Bill: Friday night, an enthusiastic crowd gathered at Deepwater Theater for a delightful "read and sing" through the musical "A Tale of Blackbeard" which was performed nine of the 20 years between 1974 and 1994.

US Navy Beach Jumpers

During WWII the US Navy built a base on Ocracoke Island . This naval base effectively ended the U-boat attacks that, early in 1942, sank more than 75 vessels off the North Carolina coast.
