Thousands pay respect to a young fallen soldier
American flags and a sea of people stretched the 12 miles between Bartlesville's Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the Ochelata hilltop cemetery Saturday during Veterans Day weekend.
Bartlesville lays fallen soldier to rest
Gailey, 26, was an Ochelata native on his second deployment to the war zone. He had previously served in Iraq.
1st female soldier killed in combat
Spc. Christopher D. Gailey, 26, of Ochelata and Pfc. Sarina N. Butcher, 19, of Checotah died November 1 in Afghanistan after an improvised explosive device detonated near their military vehicle while their unit was on a resupply mission.
