A 20-year-old man could face prison time after police say he drove through dozens of birds on purpose.

A 20-year-old man drove a Jeep at high speeds for three hours along the beach at Ocean Park, Washington, disrupting bird flocks and killing at least 34 birds, according to a SeattlePI.com story.

OCEAN PARK, Wash. - Authorities in Washington state say a young motorist repeatedly drove through flocks of federally protected shore birds on a beach, killing dozens of them.

Heermann's gull has to be euthanized. A young Washington man admitted to police today that he mowed down five to 10 flocks of seabirds on the coastline in Long Beach while driving his truck at high speed on the beach.
