A Clay County grand jury has indicted an Oakview police officer who allegedly struck and injured an 89-year-old man during a traffic stop.The officer, Kimberly A. Whyley, 38, of Kansas City, North, faces a charge of third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.Whyley was indicted Tuesday afternoon and surrendered to authorities that evening.
