After a jury acquitted her of assault, Kimberly Whyley was eager to get back to work as a police officer for the Village of Oakview.
Jury acquits Oakview police officer of assault charge
A Clay County jury acquitted an Oakview police officer this week of assaulting a 90-year-old man during a traffic stop in 2009.The officer, Kimberly A. Whyley, 41, had been charged with third degree assault, a misdemeanor.

Northland man, 18, charged with possession of child pornography
An 18-year-old Oakview man has pleaded not guilty in Clay County Circuit Court to two counts of possessing child pornography.Thomas R. Gregory was arrested Monday by officers with the Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force.
