Fortunately, this is the exception, not the rule!

Sadly, it is the exceptions that cause all the heartbreak. Most gun owners never shoot another person, either in malice or self defense. Most husbands don't kill their wives. Most police officers are not bullies.

Still, it isn't fair to judge all marriages based on homicidal ones, any more than it is to judge all gun owners based on murderers, or all police based on bad apples.

If you have a girl you love, King, I say, "Don't be afraid of marriage!"

Yes, he has been pronounced dead. I hope the wife pulls through and is able to recover from her injuries. Obviously the husband was a very selfish man to attempt to leave his 2 toddler children parentless. At least he did everyone a favor and took his own life. God bless the family.

To take ones own life means to die, right? So why is this person on life support?

What do the number of rooms and bathrooms in their house have to do with the story anyway?

That babysitter-cousin is a hero. These men often leave no family members behind when they decide to commit suicide. I guess it is something genetic left over from ancient times when the family couldn't survive without the male-hunter.

Leave it to the wife to remain critical. Woman never stop being critical. Damn women.

It's typical Sentinel writing. Also, note headline said he took his own life, then said he is on life support at hospital.

So you can get miserable, have kids, then get divorced and give your b itch ex-wife all your money. That is because the state of FL thinks that married men who decide to find true happiness are their wh ores.

The online editor is dumber than dirt. One of their writers even told me that. How can I get a six figure job and be a bumbling idiot?

This actually a pretty cheerful story. Usually when these NRA gun nut types go beserk, they kill the kids, the family pet, the in-laws who live across town, and finally they return to the bug spray warehouse where they got fired and shoot their former supervisor and a half dozen co-workers.

Here, only the old lady got plugged (And she's still alive.) and the gun nut blew out his tiny brain.

Marriage, per se, has nothing to do with it. Relationships are complicated and never more so than when one, or both, of the people can't control their tempers.
You could also get shot by a disgruntled co-worker, an alcoholic family member or a drugged out neighbor, for that matter.
So, unless you want to live alone on a remote, isolated desert island, or remain celibate for the rest of your life, take your chances like the rest of us.

Very well said "DOA". It just goes to show - money doesn't buy class or brains. There's a lot of white trash out there with money. Too bad all of the white trash doesn't kill themselves.
Why do people call someone who has obvious mental issues "trash"? Are you saying anyone who isn't stable is a worthless human? What he did was wrong but that doesn't mean he's worthless trash. Means he has mental issues. Maybe if more was done to recognize these issues and spouces and family members learn how to deal with them and get them the treatment they need there would be less murder / suicides such as this.
But as long as people just chalk these people up as worthless and nothing is done; expect more.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Cancer

Mercury turning retro is offering you the chance to make sweeping and long-lasting changes to your life, and to clear the ground for some fertile growth in 2010. Lawyers and legal matters, debates, contract negotiations, partnership or other alliances, and joint ventures of any kind need attention. As a Cancerian you don't like endings, but you must now bring an end to any situation or relationship that is holding you back or has passed its sell-by date. Look forward, not back, if you want a glittering future.
