Norwalk city councilman suspected of threatening wife

This nuckle head call me on an issue at another City. In an effort to get his way, he told me that he was in law enforcement and with connections. While on the phone, I Googled his name and found his bio from Norwalk. When I told him that his law enforcement background as a park ranger did not impress me, he got all hot and nasty. Said he would call my City manager and file a complaint. I asked if wanted to hold while I transferred him to the CM. He hung up and I never heard from him again. Now he is threatening women - a true jack-a**.

Ramirez is the same Councilmember whose Planning Commissioner, Marcel Rodarte, was accused of domestic violence last year. They make quite a pair.

There are MANY Rick (Richard Ramirez) in Norwalk.

ALL the ones I know are VERY nice.

Be careful, on your inter-net search....you might even come up with a mass-murderer....ALL "Ricks" aka "Dicks" in the Whittier/Norwalk/Pico/Cerritos area are not the same.

True, however the Sheriff's Dept confirmed that it was Councilmember Rick Ramirez that was arrested. The City Manager was notified as were several other members of the Norwalk City Council, as well.

Mary Jane, accused and convicted are two very different things. Would you care to clarify your statement or do you have any evidence that either Mr. Ramirez or Mr. Rodarte have been convicted of any crimes?

First, let me clarify my own statement. Do you have any evidence of any conviction of any type levied against me?

I kindly ask that you not associate me with Mr. Ramirez' legal issues. Mr. Ramirez is a grown man and can defend himself if he chooses.

I am truly concerned for Gina Ramirez's safety. A restraining order will not protect her from this maniac. I hope she & her children are in a safe place. Remember when Mr. Ramirez claimed he was kicked by a 4'9" woman? From the stories I've heard, this guy has quite a history. The rest of the City Council must immediately ask for his resignation. Can you imagine if he were to show up at a council meeting with a loaded weapon?

I agree. We should be concerned for Gina and their three kids. No one deserves to be threatened in this way.

everyone is quick to come up with they know what happen like they were there let the man be able to defend him self

The biggest dick in Norwalk is The City Manager, Ernie V. Garcia. Now thats a dick if you ever worked with him in a lower status. He has no business being in charge of Norwalk. (How do I know) I used to work in the Public Safety Department. I'm glad I left years ago. Ernie shoud be investigated, I'm sure he is stealing money from Norwalk.
