Kyle Smith pulled the trigger that took his life, but Kyle started dying many years ago. Product of dysfuntional, divorced parents, Kyle lived with a cronic alcoholic, physically and emotionally abusive father. A bully, a cold indifferent father. Kyle strieved his whole life seeking support, approval and recognition from his father which he never received. As a result his acts bacame more and more outrageous.
Kyle had two motorcycle accidents in which he was on life support for more than a week. Kyle was reaching out , but no one listened. He was screamming out for help, but no one listened. His final act of desperation was to use his own father's gun to kill himself. Kyle was making a statement' "You bastard, you never paid me attention before, guess what you will pay attention to me now".
Kyle may have pulled the trigger, but his father started killing him many years ago. Kyle was a good kid, just misunderstood and reaching out, but no one in his family was listening. His father was too busy getting drunk and having his head up his ass. Poor Kyle. You diserved better.
