I agree to prey for the family and my heart goes out to mothers,dads ,brothers ,sisters or kids but not for this man.i know one thing that didnt go through his mind that was a bullit,like it did his wife.I'm not a cold person,But this was just truly somthing that shouldnt had happened,

Senseless violence for want of control over something I guess.

i have to agree with uncle john, he took another life for no reason. there is no excuse for murder

He tried taking the easy way out instead of dealing with what was handed to him in life. I have no sympathy for this man. We all have struggles and heartaches in life, but the real test is battling through them. Mr. Parker, you failed!

Thank you very much to those of you who see that what he did was wrong. It's funny how the newspapers can look into records to see that Donna was arrested for domestic violence, but they have yet to say anything about all the police reports she filed on him within the last 2 months. Donna called our family just about every day to tell us the latest. She told us he followed her numerous times, took her personal belongings, and cut her brake lines on her truck. Robert was not upset about the divorce. He did this himself. He had once told Donna that if she ever left him she would have absolutely nothing, and he wanted to hold true to that plan. From this article it sounds as if he will plead temporary insanity. But make no mistake, THIS WAS PLANNED. The only thing I can agree with in this article is that he needs prayers. He may have deceived our family, but he cannot deceive God. He will be judged.

I am so sorry for you all who are dealing with the horror that this man caused you. It's not fair, it's not right, and it's just outrageous how this article was presented. Please know we see through it to the truth. Does he deserve forgiveness? Not my place to say. But you deserve our sympathy and your anger, and I'll add my anger on your behalf at the left-handed and totally inappropriate way this horrendous crime was reported in this newspaper.

This is what Divorce Rape does to a person. Man or woman feels stripped of all power and no one seems interested in the details or the circumstances. They are just expected to turn over and take it up the other side too. Was it wrong to shoot her, yes. Was he in his right mind, no? If he had been, he wouldn't be struggling for his life. I for one find this kind of communication evil and absurd. This is the first time I've seen it and this is the last time I will partake of it. As for the writer of the article, thanks for the insight and the personal comments.

I am very sorry for your loss and the violence of this tragedy. We may never know the extent of the problems or what caused Mr Parker to go over the deep end. Our thoughts and prayers are with both families as you try to work through the next few days and weeks.

I didn't know the Parkers personally however, I want to send my deepest sympathies to Donna's family and friends during this time of anguish. I witnessed the brutality of a self-absorbed, maniacle, controlling, spouse through my mother. We lived with fear daily. By the Grace of God she survived his torturous reign. There is no "mental defense" in cases like this only a very sick individual. May the balance of his life be spent in a prison, explaining to his cell-mates how he stalked and shot his wife!!! And regarding the spin on the article...welcome to the "Good Ol' Boy Network" where a woman can put her hands on a man in self-defense and be charged with CDV. It doesn't mean the woman was the antagonist, take the reports from the Sun News with a grain of salt.

The Sun News has absolutely NO compassion or respect for the family.

Donna left two daughters who are now without a mother. I have to wonder why I haven't read anything in these articles about the 20+ 911 calls she has made recently because she was scared for her life. Robert followed her and stalked her everywhere she went. These calls are a matter of police record. Also a matter of police record is the fact that Robert stalked and threatened THREE WOMEN in past years. Odd that there's no mention of this by The Sun, not to mention all the threatening text messages sent by him. This man has a history of this kind of behavior. Donna's family is devastated. If you're a parent, if you can climb down off your politically corrent high horse for just one moment, try to put yourself in the place of her parents. Robert Parker didn't "snap" because this behavior has been displayed by him for many years. My question is, why did the police not do something before it came to this. Robert will pay, whether he lives or dies. God will see to that. But will the police be there for Donna's daughters? Will they offer comfort to Donna's parents? Will they fill the void in the lives of Donna's siblings? I'm frightened by the liberties given to the press these days. And I have to wonder if we really know the truth about what goes in in the world at all.

We appreciate hearing the comments from Donnas supporters whether family or friends. Its amazing how the news some how is only focusing on the comments of Robert and his families griefs but no mention of Donnas family or daughters. I have not heard mention on how great of a woman and mother she was and how dedicated she was to her family and friends.
Lets not forget that now we have to worry about the sick son of Robert that also has been an accomplice from the beginning!! It has been witnessed that he and his father stalking and harassing Donna on a daily basis. We dont want to sound like we have no hearts but no story has yet been told about the pain and suffering she had to endure leading up to this tragedy. We can only hope and PRAY that those who are responsible (and you know who you are) that the judicial system will finally see that she was not crying wolf and put these twisted men behind bars.
Hopefully someday soon we can work on getting domestic violence laws in Horry County changed instead of hearing that we are the 7th in the nation and 2nd in fatalities.

I'm so glad to see that others know what has really happened. And its very true, Robert's children were also in on this. They may not have pulled the trigger, but they knew what was happening. Also true is his history of abuse, which I did not learn of until just recently. His ex wife once told Donna that he stalked her, tried to run her off the road, etc until he met Donna. I guess then he was able to focus all of his attention on her. Donna said she was told be his ex wife "you have no idea the plans he has for you." This should never have happened. Robert should have been put in jail when all these reports of harassment were being filed. I constantly wonder what went through Donna's mind in those last moments. I wish there was something we could have done to prevent this.

I could not agree with you more. I also know the family and know how hard it was for her to get anyone to help her (especially local authorities). How would you feel if you had to walk in fear everyday knowing this man was going to carry out his threats but just not knowing WHEN???
She had so many police reports and witnesses to his madness but its like the system was protected him and not her. I don't believe she was the threat however it was proven on Friday.
The sun news also failed to report the numerous times he and his son stalked her, stole her vehicle, broke in her home, stole her pets, threaten her and her daughter, cut her brake lines, stole checks from her business also failed to dig up his prior records.
I can only hope that everyone pulls together and sees that this COWARD does not walk our streets again.
Trust me Robert is no victim!!!

We also know the story of the ex wife and the crazy daughter. I have also wondered what it was the we could have done to prevent this from happening but I truly believe without a doubt that he knew what he was going to do. However the ones that know her here know this was not something that he thought of Friday morning. She had a lot of loving friends here and words can not express how much she will be missed.

And since you seem to know what he was thinking why didnt you stop it? And if you knew her then you know how she really was? about the numerous attacks on him and others with out cause? That he tried to walk away and she wouldnt let it go? that she stalked him? all the threats from her and her friends? Since you know so much about this situation i hope that you dont burn in hell for being his judge on jury.

OMG you need to close your mouth - or stop your fingers - and walk away, right now. You have NO business defending this man in this forum. If he's a friend or relative then go visit him in the hospital, pray for him, whatever, but leave Donna's family the hell alone.
