The pilot was a great man who loved people and he and his wife had a special interest in there 4 children. He wanted to make a difference in this world and served in local activities. They will be missed by many who they touched.

Reports indicated the aircraft was a Piper Cherokee, probably a pa28. The temperature at that time of day was around 105 degrees at N. Las Vegas At 7000 ft it probably was close to 90 degrees which would make the density altitude over 10,000 ft. With that particular A.C. fully loaded it would not have much power left to climb.
