Sons abducted to Syria?
Two Westchester brothers allegedly abducted their three boys from their ex-wives and might be on their way to their native Syria, the mothers said Tuesday.

I would think that if the mothers have reason to believe that their ex husbands were planning something they would or should have the right to not give the sons to their fathers. Is it not a law?

To the Fathers that abducted the three boys. If you are reading this article and still in America, please be a real man a let the boys go. I truly believe that you would not harm the boys. As far as you are concerned, just run for your lives, but surrender the boys. You both know that there is nothing like a mother's love. Don't do this to your ex-wives. I'm sure they do not deserve this from you. The future to all involved is in a big stand still. There is no tomorrow until the boys get home safely.

Life in Syria's great I've heard. They are going to have wonderful lives over there...police state, tyranny, able to beat up/kill women for offending your family's honor...how much sweeter could it be?

You got to be out of your mind to believe this was a compliment. Maybe you need a vacation to Syria. |

To Ted and his friends:
Before you comment, remember that these are children who are missing and their mothers are distraught. Show some respect. |

The father has the right to be with the kids according to the law, how could a father abduct his own children? he took them but did not abduct them.
Father have feeling and love their kids as well, and from I see today most father are more concern about their kids than the mother. Unfortunately women play their games and tears to gain attention. Fathers has the right and the father are being legally abused because of OJ law, we need to lobby to put in place Laws to protect the father right and make him equal to the mother right. I hope that both reach respectful agreement to win their children love and respect when their kids gets older. |

Not all mothers are good mothers and necessarily good for their kids.
I had a nasty divorce, she got the kids, I didn't, she didn't work, I did, I paid her bills, I got to see the kids every weekend. So what happened to this story. She used the money I sent to buy crack cocaine and get high in front of the girls. She used to do tricks in the house to buy more (at the time of her bust she was "entertaining" a john). I went and got the kids a week BEFORE this all happened. She on the other hand didn't even know I had the kids, NEVER ASKED IF I HAD THEM, and at the time of her bust was asked about them in which she replied "what kids, do you see any kids"? So for me to see this is just like the poster above who wrote how they use their "tears" and "play games". You can't judge a book or person by one side of the story. I WANT TO HEAR THE OTHER SIDE!! |

Are you insane? Fathers do have rights. It's called joint custody. However, it is absolutely illegal for EITHER parent to take the child out of the country without the other's consent. And the last I heard, you're not supposed to cross state lines without written consent. Therefore, what has happened here is abduction. What they've done is not right for the children. They're without their mothers. If you think the mothers are 'playing games' and crying to 'get attention', there's something wrong with your way of thinking. |
Your right, not all mother's are good mother's; case in point the mother who left her 2 year old in the car seat in 90 degree weather to die. But not all father's are good fathers either.I'm raising 3 boys all on my own because their father doesn't feel like being a responsible man and help out with them in any kind of way.So you see it can go both ways.I do hope these boy's all make it back okay to their mother whom I'm sure is a mental wreak right now. |

it sounds as if you have been through this ~ a lot of anger and resentment ~ absolutely fathers should have just as many rights as mothers. however, it is considered abduction when the father did not return the kids to their mother when "the law" stated that he was supposed to and the mother now has no idea where they are ~ just the same, the mother would have been considered to have abducted them if she did not return them when "the law" stated she was supposed to. and once you're talking about leaving the country with the children without the consent of the other parent that is absolutely abduction ~ IF it is not something that is in a court order as a scheduled summer visitation or something to that effect. again, this goes for women taking the child out of the country as well as men. EVEN when parents are married and still together, if only one parent is traveling with the child outside the US, then you are supposed to get a signed and notarized letter from the other parent saying that it is okay to leave the country. for you to say that most fathers are more concerned about their kids than mothers is just a very naive statement. just because you feel in your situation that is the case, or you think that is the case in some situations of people you know, does not in any way mean "more" men than women care for their kids. again, i make the same statement to your comment about women play games and tears ~ maybe you think that is what happened to you or people you know, but that is a far cry from the rest of the population. the one thing i do agree with you on is that women and men both deserve the same rights when it comes to the children ~ as long as BOTH of the parents have proven to have the childs best interest at heart. and this is also assuming that both parents have been loving, caring, stable parents in the childs lives. if there has been evidence of any kind of violence or abuse, physical or mental, etc. than that is a whole other story ~ regardless if it is on the mother or father. |

Yeah thanks for the response. I just wanted to throw that out. Almost every post is like they are accusing the dude of being a bad dad. I just think there is another story none of us have heard about. And I totally agree with your dead 2 year old. I saw that and when they said he was in there for over 2 hours I thought to myself while watching it on the news, I could NEVER go two hours without thinking where my girls are and they are 8 and 11. But to forget about a 2 yr old?? But like the news said "the boy was found STRAPPED TO HIS CHILD SEAT", and they are suppose to be safe?? I be the little kid tried to get out or loose before succumbing to the heat!!! Sorry to hear about your ex. Him and my ex should get together and both be the dead beats they are!! |

In my post I said "your 2 year old"...I meant your reply about the kid!! Just kinda of have a mental brain fart for a second there and didn't catch it before I posted it!! |
|
i'm sorry to hear your story and glad that you have your kids now ~ i wish you could have had her thrown in jail sooner! these things are absolutely a case by case situation and sometimes it's the mothers and sometimes it's the fathers. we shouldn't lump everyone together because of past experiences ~ we are all individuals ~ there are GREAT mothers AND fathers and there are, let's just say "less than desireable" mothers and fathers. |
