School Administrative Unit 21 will be searching for a new superintendent after Assistant Superintendent Maureen Ward told members of the SAU 21 Joint Board she would not accept the job - at least not until the board conducts a thorough search.

Interesting how South Hampton board member (1year on Board) motions to hire without a search and Seabrook Board Member (school in its fifth year of failure sending students to HS with a fourth grade reading level) second the motion. Good thing someone put the students first and stopped that vote.

We do need a new schoolboard in Seabrook 1 went this past year lets hope the next one gets beat in march

Maybe Maria has done enough to help our kids at WHS and made her mark. She is proof that one person can make a difference. For that we are so thankful but maybe it is time to move on to bigger things. Just think hmmm Seabrook Selectmen BROWN people like her is just what Seabrook needs. I think I will call her and she if some T-shirts "what can Brown do for YOU" 2010 she is in

Are you saying this because you watch the meeting and thats your true pinion or is it because you have a peronal issue with her and just want to trash her?I don't think you are watching at all if you were you would be glad someone is there for the kids and actually doing what they were voted in to do!!Thanks Maria and keep up the good work!!

My father is running again next year i think he has spoken to Maria abiut it.If 2 south Seabrookers run neither one will get elected thats politics,i think she will make a good selectwoman though in due time.

Plus we can never do enough for our kids,the odds are stacked up against our kids there as you know at whs, we need her there or someone that does care like her

I don't agree that the odds are against our kids at whs.I have three kids there and all have really good grades and never have had any promblem there.I have asked them if they have ever been treated different or if anyone has said anything about them being from Seabrook not once has anyone said anything kids or staff.I think people need just let go maybe before they were treated different not any more.My kids hang around with kids from all the other towns and seabrook kids.Why can't we all get along who cares where you are from..

not saying its seabrook but there is not alot of effort on the schools part if a kid is having problems in school (learning) seen it first hand

Can i ask you a guestion how long have you lived in Seabrook and what is your last name.I know when i went to whs us Seabrooker were marked ask anyone that went thewre in the 70's 80's 90's

You got it right personal it is. Maria is the best thing that ever happened at WHS and anything else she does. keep up the good work and remain a school board member maybe at Seabrook even. Selectmens position will age ya! We know who the sour puss is but karma is alive. Keep smilin lovee!

I got to agree when I went there some of the teachers looked down upon us but overall there were alot of good teachers freshman year sucked senior year was great I think that as much money as we spend in taxes there that Seabrook should of had there own high school a long time ago.
