North Corbin woman dies in early-morning fire at her home

An early-morning house fire in north Corbin turned deadly this morning. Authorities say 56-year-old Deborah Benfield perished in the blaze that reportedly started at her home on Byerly Road sometimes around 8:00 a.m. She most likely died of smoke inhalation.
