Suffolk lawmakers to review plan to lay off cops

Don't do it Jeff... don't deal with this egomaniac under ANY circumstances! He wants savings... he got them... or so he claims... the drug plan... the health plan..... Highway... Cope....

Stand strong and tell him NO.... he's a little bully that's running out of threats... NOW his moves are making people VERY uncomfortable... and are self destructive.... and very obvious even to those that hate the PD...

Let me get this right. I'm paying for police service. I'm paying for 365 cops that don't exist. My taxes aren't decreasing but my police services are. Why am I paying less service for the same price.? Why am I paying for glorified correction officers to patrol my roads when I already have a police department? Why do Nassau Sheriff's have 30 people and Suffolk Sheriff's have 250? With over 800 Corrections Offficers? Where's my savings? HAd enough of the old shifting of the money on paper with more cut backs. Typical politician, show me no tax increase with same service, rather than less. Any other rabbits you want to pull out of a hat Mr. Levy?

Can the public choose which cops should be laid-off.

Can we start with the ones that post on the Schwartz Report?

Help me out here....what does supporting our troops have to do with the fact that we pay taxes for police service and now Mr. Levy wants to take police off the streets? If you think this is such a great idea lets take them out of your neighborhood first.

Wow, finally a Suffolk County Executive who cares about the taxpayers on Long Island. If not for him the only ones who will be able to afford to live here, will be cops and teachers!! Keep up the good work Steve, you'll get my vote every time.

Why doesn't Frayler help save his members jobs by kicking in all the money he pissesaway onbullshit radio ads?

We obviously have more cops than we need. At 11 o'clock last evening there were SIX cruisers in the 7-11 parking lot ~ a couple with engines running ~ while the cops stood around inside bsing with the girls buying coffee and soda.

Forget laying off COPS who actually provide service and do work. Why not get rid of worthless political hacks who only get huge salaries and do NO work. All they accomplish is an increase in taxes and the wasting of resources and benefits.

Cops protect the public!

If you really want to save us some money, lets take a bite of of the 70% piece of my tax bill.

Lying Levy is at it again trying to blame to police for the counties problems. Why wont he admit he is in bed with the Demarco and the Sheriffs and is trying to make them the primary police dept in the county due to a hatred for the SCPD. Beware Mr. Levy.."Be sure your sins will find you out." You can only cover up lies with more lies so long. Maybe if Mr. Levy was a man of his word and not a school yard bully he would be able to negotiate a deal.When will the people of Suffolk county wake and and see how this whole county is being destroyed by Levy and his administration. Just look at how many of his aides have quit, I wonder why? Its time for a change people of Suffolk. There is a reason that Suffolk and Nassau county are two of the safest and most desireable counties in America to live in, and the reason is not Steve Levy or Tom Suozzi, its the Suffolk and Nassau county Police departments.

do the police care about the local people in this comunity at all ? don't they see the economy is in a freefall and people are loosing there jobs and homes and cannot afford any more taxes or do the police live in there own little insullated world where they don't share the pain of the community and want all they can take from it ! of coarse they will always use the scare tactic and say if they have to share in the budget problems of the community we will all be at risk of higher crime

Hey Sal-I guess you never get a cup of coffee with your work mates while at work or maybe you are so unreasonable that nobody wants to have coffee with you. Get real! And no I'm not a cop!
