Under the agreement, Ellerbe reimburses the county for the direct cost of patrolling the town around the clock about $150,000 a year, to pay for salaries, fuel and other expenses.

Norman post office will stay open until May
Residents of Norman will be able to use the Post Office there until May, according to the United States Postal Service.
Impending state budget cuts threatened small post offices with closings. The Town of Norman thought their post office might be closing soon.
