Pest quarantine extends to Riverside County
The presence of the Asian Citrus Psyllid pest in the Imperial County community of Niland has prompted the California Department of Food and Agriculture to extend its quarantine into parts of Riverside County east of the Coachella Valley and north of the Salton Sea to Interstate 10.
County Library in Niland rescued
County Librarian Connie Barrington told the County Board of Supervisors Tuesday the Niland Branch had been scheduled to close this past March 31.
