Both the Nichols Hills Police Department and Fire Department have recently received inquiries from residents and merchants in Nichols Hills concerning telephone solicitors who are calling asking for donations and claiming that all or part of the money collected goes directly to the Nichols Hills Police and Fire Departments.

A suburban Oklahoma City lawyer was removed from the courtroom on Tuesday during her arraignment on drug charges, reportedly because she was talking too much.

Amy McTeer, of Nichols Hills, who already is charged in three criminal cases, was arrested early Monday on public intoxication and possession of paraphernalia complaints after telling Guthrie police she was poisoned by a man she met at an Oklahoma City truck stop.
