Nicholasville Council Petition Committee chairman Perry Barnes presented Jessamine County Clerk Eva McDaniel a notebook binder with 3,285 signatures on May 1. McDaniel certified that 2,765 signatures were valid, which was enough to get the measure put on November's general-election ballot.
