Just returned from an excellent dinner. Parker's Prime is located in what had been Roux 3. The decor is slightly upgraded and quite attractive but too noisy. Our dinners were outstanding. Fresh sushi, tender, flavorful beef cooked to perfection, and mushroom laden spinach. I can also recommend the house cabernet. Danny, our server, was knowledgeable and efficient.
Next time, I'll bring a tableful of friends so I can have a taste of the bread pudding or molten chocolate cake. |

I wish I could say Parker's Prime is half the restaurant it is billed to be. Next time I should definitely ask for Danny as my waiter. The wait staff was very inexperienced, ineffecicient and in such a hurry that they kept bumping into each other. Our waiter wanted us to order drinks so badly while I read the wine list he asked 3 times in 30 seconds. After bringing the wine he struggled to open it and then poured almost as much down the side of my glass as he did in it. The sushi flair is a nice addition to a steakhouse menu, but the rolls are disappointing and mostly rice. If you've been to Azzi and like their sushi don't order it here. My Veal Chop was beautiful looking and seemingly cooked to perfection. But, it was very fatty and really lacked flavor. My wife's sea bass was very nice. Big portion and perfectly cooked. I highly recommend the Lyonaisse Potatoes if you want a starch for a side. Very nicely done and not too oily. For those of you that love the traditional molten chocolate cake, go elsewhere. There is little molten to it which makes it just a decent chocolate cake. Overall we're going to stick with Azzi and Flemings. If I'm going to spend that kind of money the meal needs to be excellent and the service needs to be good.

November 17th was our first visit to this restaurant. It was an amazing experience. Our waiter was Mark, who was terrific. If it is your first visit, you do have to sit through an opening dialogue about why this steakhouse has an Asian flavor, but it is bearable. Mark is very knowledgable about their wines. Our party of eight had a variety of appetizers - the calamari tempura, the shrimp tempura, and the shrimp shusi roll were highly rated. Most of us went to this restaurant for the steak.(obviously) Half of us tried the "wagyu" Kobi steak. It is listed on the menu as "melt in your mouth" and it indeed was. The best steak I ever had. Cooked to my liking (medium rare)and a great seasoning on it. My wife had one of the fish, the sea bass I believe, and she said it also was terrific. Desserts are just average, but not a disappointment. This place is expensive, but we will definitely return. This is a great place for a special occasion.
