Hoping to increase communication with City Hall and improve the quality of village life, a number of Newton Centre residents are working with neighbors and city officials to form a Newton Centre Neighborhood Area Council.

The 30th Annual Run of the Charles Canoe & Kayak Race is coming soon! The race, which runs through Newton, Waltham and Watertown among other local communities, will be held on Sunday, April 29.

The Department of Conservation and Recreation will hold a public meeting tonight on the proposed enhancements to Hammond Pond .

There will be a slide show about past Community Preservation Act projects and a chance for residents to share their ideas on what the CPA funds should be used for in the future.
