Man charged with selling drugs near school
A Carteret County man accused of selling crack cocaine near an elementary school was arrested Friday by Newport police, authorities said.
Expect at least one more day of dreary weather. Friday's forecast for Onslow and Carteret County includes lots of clouds and an occasional drizzle, said Robert Frederick, a duty forecaster for the National Weather Service in Newport.
The combination of a nor'easter and the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida dumped as much as 8 inches of rain on parts of the area in two days, and its winds are expected to further whip it around for another day.
