Palmyra woman to avoid trial, admit to stealing $20,000 from Newport rec center

A Palmyra woman scheduled to go on trial Monday in connection with the theft of $20,000 from the Sebasticook Valley Community Center in Newport will instead plead no contest to embezzlement, according to the Maine attorney general's office, which is prosecuting the case.
