Blan to pay $10K for mowing of unmaintained lots

Blanchester Village Council members voted Thursday night to approve the hiring of Mel Stein as an independent contractor to mow the grass on unmaintained lots on an as-needed basis, based on a total estimate of about $10,000. Council man David Wallace abstained.

New Vienna man charged with escape

A 23-year-old man who showed up intoxicated at his supervised probation appointment on Friday is in jail after escaping from probation officers at the Wilmington Municipal Building.
