NEW LEXINGTON: Barbara L. Pearl, 64, of 400 First Street, New Lexington, Ohio, died at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the home of her daughter.

State Fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fatal fire that broke out Thursday morning in Perry County.

NEW STRAITSVILLE --Delbert Six taught Crystal Backus how to bake bread when she was 5. For the past several years Backus has been a nurse's aide to Six, cooking his favorite meal of fried potatoes and buckwheat pancakes almost every day.
