A former Humphreys County jail officer has been arrested following an indictment accusing him of stealing medication meant to treat inmates.

Huntingdon High School sophomore Jeremy Hill, 16, died while trying to save the life of his grandfather, Dwayne Hill, while fishing on the Tennessee River at New Johnsonville on Monday.

What began as a family fishing trip has ended in tears and loss. A grandfather and grandson both tried heroically to save the other, but neither one survived.

Searchers have recovered the body of a teenager who jumped into the Tennessee river to help save his grandfather, who fell from a boat.
