So there is a hearing, another one, to determine whether or not a CHILD (not a teen, not an adult) should be tried in JUVENILE court. Sounds redundant. For now the child is still in adult court for using a lethal weapon that the ADULTS (plural) in the home did not lock up, and thanks to our gun laws, a lot of people here are deeply hurt, CHILD included, once more. If the case goes to juvenile court, the CHILD still will be punished but more humanely. The DA does not want the case moved to juvenile court.(?) I hope the child is not caught in the throes of a bitter political battle... Presently, the CHILD is at a juvenile center, after many failed attempts to keep him in an adult prison, and two other juvenile centers. Could it be because he is a CHILD and these things do not happen often, therefore, this process is cruel and unusual punishment for a CHILD? Sounds like Lawrence County has a lot of money to throw around. And a lot of pride at a CHILD'S expense.

How many topics do you need to start on this one subject?

The real question is what do you do with a killer when he turns 21?

That is not the topic. That is your question. Take it to someone who specializes in killers at 21. This topic is about an 11 year-old CHILD. The answer to your first question is, three.

This law was put into place because there were gangs that were getting minors to do their dirty deeds. They need to stop making these arbitrary laws because they cost the tax payers a lot of unnecessary money and as you can see in this case, they manipulate civil rights. How can an 11 year-old child be tried as an adult? Its insane! So then we should not have laws stopping children from drinking or driving and they should not have curfews and the country will just all go to hell. We were suppose to be better than this. We were suppose to have a higher level of thinking. This is too bad.

This case will go to juvenile court. Everyone can quit whining.

What do we do with him when he's 21?

When the Jonesboro, Arkansas "children" killed their teacher, and schoolmates, they were released at 18, and to this day, they can own and use firearms. All their records will divulge is they have a juvenile history, PERIOD!

I think we oughta move him into the neighborhood of one of the bleeding hearts. Let them sleep with one eye open. But, of course, that won't happen...and they know it.

I'd take that child in a heartbeat.
This is not the Jonesboro, Arkansas "children" who killed their teacher and classmates. Yada, yada, yada..You have so much bullshit. This is about an 11 year old CHILD that got a gun approx. 2 months before this incident. It very much could have been an accident. At least I can admit that if there was a gun in my home while I was growing up, someone would have died. And don't come back with your, "we were raised with guns in our homes and we would NEVER, EVER, do a thing like this" because shit happens. Get over it.
