George Washington crossed the Delaware north of Trenton, NJ. Sorry, that's probably at least 40 miles north of the closest point in Delaware. Probably 50 miles or more from New Castle. I live in New Castle and I am unaware of fireworks being lit off on the 4th of July. Separation Day is the big community event.
