A winter storm watch was in effect through late Sunday morning for a swath of northern Utah extending from Logan south through Ogden, Salt Lake City, Provo and Nephi, while high winds were forecast for the western half of the state.

While driving on Interstate 15 between Santaquin and Nephi an intoxicated man allegedly discharged a firearm in an attempt to shoot a dog sitting at the feet of a front passenger in his vehicle.

A man faces serious charges after troopers say he shot a dog and his passenger while driving on I-15. According to the Daily Herald , the Utah Highway Patrol says the man was driving south on I-15 between Santaquin and Nephi when he pulled out a pistol and shot a dog that was sitting on the floor between the feet of the front-seat passenger.
