The George Sheehan Classic 5 K Run is set for 8:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16 2012. More than 3,000 runners from around the world are expected to participate in what has become one of the Jersey Shore's most popular road races.

Down at the Fair Haven dock it was a crisp, bright spring day on Saturday and music was in the air at the "Concert of the Century." Starting at 4 p.m., three bands played at the end of the dock as people listened, tapped their toes, hummed along and got the perfect view of boaters and paddlers on the Navesink.

The re-opening of the Oceanic Bridge is considered a big reason to celebrate, especially for Rumson , Fair Haven and Middletown residents.

Most boaters have been there. It's night time, but channel markers are there to guide you back to your marina or boat ramp.

A year ago Mr. Cupcakes came to town, the second of three downtown Red Bank cupcake stops to open within just months of each other.
