I live down the street. A server once told me that the owner "had no interest" in serving anybody other than hotel guests. She said it was too hard to staff because they couldn't predict when the fog would roll in forcing them to send staff home. The only way to run the business was by serving guests as it was predictable. It's a unique challenge for sure but they're not the only business on earth that's impacted by weather. But if the owner has no interest, that's how you end up with an experience like the one in the article.

With this hot weather, my family and I are loving the "Dine & Dip" feature at Rickey's...especially on Friday and Saturday nights when they are playing free jazz by the pool as well. The kids menu is great and the new summer menu has tons of tasty tapas-style items to share.

Ms. Henry might want to futher educate herself on seasonality. We just harvested our Asian Pears this past week out in Pt. Reyes, just a few miles up the road from the Mt. Home Inn.
