N.C. says no to homeless bill
National City's City Council Tuesday night authorized the city manager to send a letter to Sacramento opposing Assembly Bill 5. Assemblyman Tom Ammiano drafted and proposed The Homeless Person's Bill of Rights and Fairness Act to create a statewide framework in giving new protections and more civil rights to homeless people.
The musically inclined elders over the age of 55 travel to three local senior homes once a month to belt out tunes from the 1930s, '40s and '50s. Scam warning for business
National City's Fire Marshal Robert Hernandez said in January that an unidentified man who worked for a fake company called First Fire Protection Systems went to Normy's hair salon, located on East 8th Street, and said the company needed to conduct a fire inspection at the National City hair salon.
