The emergency siren did not go off in the City of Natalia on Monday night, despite severe weather.

A tornado southwest of San Antonio caused widespread damage as a line of thunderstorms created street flooding across the region, officials said Tuesday.

Severe weather whipped through South Texas Monday evening with the worst of the damage reported in Southwest Bexar County and Medina County.

A suspected tornado touched down in south-central Texas on Monday, the National Weather Service said, as a slow-moving line of storms brought high winds, heavy rains and large hail as it swept eastward.
