Potters' Guild hosts spring pottery festival

Watchung police make drunk driving arrests on April 4 and 5

Shawn Connolly, 35, of Mountainside, was stopped by police near the intersection of Bonnie Burn and New Providence roads for making an improper turn at 11:58 a.m. on April 5. After being taken to headquarters, he allegedly refused to submit samples of his breath and did not wish to answer any questions after being read his Miranda warning.

Two carjackers suspected of stealing a vehicle in Westfield at about 1:20 p.m. Monday were apprehended after shots were fired at them by borough police on New Providence Road at Orchard Road, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said.
