SAN BERNARDINO They may first have to brace for one more winter storm season, but the residents of Mountain View Acres are set to benefit from flood control improvements by the end of 2012.

A resident returned home at 9 p.m. and discovered that someone attempted to pry open her front door.

The Rescue Mission's proposed Life Recovery Center is scheduled for a planning commission decision during the meeting starting at 9 a.m. Thursday in the County Government Center Board Chambers, at 385 N. Arrowhead Avenue in San Bernardino.
