More students at Centennial and Little Mountain elementary schools will be walking or biking to school starting Monday as part of a pilot project to test several safe walking zones around the schools.

UPDATE: Kalob Tatum says his stolen violin was recovered Thursday night. Details about how the violin was returned are sketchy, but Tatum said it is damaged and needs to be repaired before he can play it.

A Lynnwood man died in a crash Friday afternoon on Highway 9 in Skagit County after his car smashed head-on into a tractor-trailer, the Washington State Patrol said.
