US sanctions target key Russia economic sectors

County detectives get modest pay hike

Lackawanna County detectives will receive modest pay increases annually through 2016 under an arbitration ruling ratified Wednesday by the county commissioners. The ruling, known as an interest arbitration award, sets the terms for what will be a new three-year collective bargaining agreement between the county and the Lackawanna County Detectives Association, said Brian Loughney, deputy director of human resources.
